「丸木位里　丸木俊　沖縄戦の図　全１４部」
読谷上映会

日時：９月１０日(日)午後２時開場、２時半上映開始
場所：読谷村文化センター中ホール
(読谷村役場隣り)

上映終了後に佐喜眞美術館館長の舞台挨拶あり

広島・長崎の核爆発の凄絶さを《原爆の図》15部に
描いた丸木 位里・丸木 俊夫妻が
その晩年に取組んだのが1982～87年沖縄に通い続け
沖縄が体験した地上戦を描いた連作14部。
この全14部は、宜野湾市の佐喜眞美術館にすべて収蔵。
地上戦を生き延びた沖縄の人びとの切実な「命どぅ宝（命こそ宝）」
に共感共苦した、丸木夫妻の「人間といのち」への
深い鎮魂と洞察の軌跡をたどる物語である。

Screening in Yomitan

Iri and Toshi Maruki, who depicted the horror of
the nuclear explosions in Hiroshima and Nagasaki
in Part 15 of Atomic Bomb Diagrams,
in their later years, they drew a series of 14 parts
of the ground Battle of Okinawa while continuing
to visit Okinawa from 1982 to 1987.
All 14 paintings are stored at
the Sakima Art Museum in Ginowan City.
This is a story that traces the deep requiem
and insight into "humanity and life'' of the Marukis,
who sympathized with and suffered with
the earnest spirit of "Life is treasure''
of the Okinawan people who survived the ground war.
